Keeping up with March Madness? There’s an app for that!

If you’re away from your television, no worries; you can still catch all of the March Madness action and keep up with the Zags—as well as other teams—thanks to a free mobile application from Slacker Radio, through a partnership with Dial Global.

The app, which is available now for iPhone, iPad, Android, and BlackBerry smartphones, will offer play-by-play sports broadcasts of all 67 games of the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship, the Division I Women’s Basketball Championship, the Men’s and Women’s College World Series and more.

“To sum the application up, Slacker is a personal radio service and competitor to Pandora. In addition to expert DJ-curated genre stations and the ability to create custom music stations, Slacker also offers non-music options including comedy stations, ABC News and ESPN sports. On-demand listening is also available with a subscription to Slacker Premium,” said Andi Bean of FortyThree PR and Gonzaga ’09 graduate in an email. “This partnership with Dial Global adds great content to the Slacker lineup, giving basketball fans an easily accessible and free way to listen to games on their mobile devices.”

“We are thrilled to offer the millions of Slacker mobile listeners free access to Dial Global’s coverage of the NCAA Championships,” said Jonathan Sasse, senior vice president of marketing at Slacker. “These live broadcasts will be appreciated by all sports fans, with more to come as we continue to expand our content to meet the needs of our listeners.”

To tune in to the excitement, simply download—or update—the Slacker Radio app from your device’s app store.
