Apple lovers impatiently waiting the delivery of the new iPhone may have to wait longer than expected. On September 14 — just hours after pre-ordering the phone was an option on Apple.com — the estimated shipping date was pushed back. However, now the date has been pushed back even further. Apple’s online store shows that a pre-ordered iPhone 5 will be available to ship in three to four weeks.
So what does this mean for iPhone users waiting for their new iPhones to ship?
Katherine DeGreef, a senior, said that she ordered her phone at about noon on the first day of pre-orders. However, DeGreef explained that after noticing that the shipping date had already been pushed back she opted for in-store pickup.
“It would be so frustrating if you were supposed to get it on the 21st and then had to wait at least two more weeks. It’s really exciting to get a new phone,” DeGreef said.
