Howling in a burrito shop

Tim

Tim Johnson, a host at Broken Mic, explains the rules to the crowd.

Looking for something to do on Wednesday nights? Broken Mic, a free, all-ages open mic poetry reading, is hosted every Wednesday night down at Neato Burrito on 1st avenue downtown. Readers are given three minutes to perform either a piece of their own work or someone else’s. Neato Burrito also hosts a one dollar beer, one dollar coffee, one dollar soda, and one dollar grilled cheese special on those nights. With the Individual World Poetry Slam coming to Spokane in October, now is the time to practice those poems in front of a real audience or get acquainted with the Spokane spoken word community!
