Stairway Conversations: Midterms

You know what’s even worse than being sick? Being sick during midterms week. Luckily for me, I got to experience that this semester.

Date: March 1, 2016

Building: Hemmingson

Staircase: COG Stairs

Person 1: “How’d the last one go?”

Person 2: “You know, it happened.”

Ah, I know that feeling. It’s not the best feeling – but it’s also not the worst. It’s not a, “Oh it was horrible,” it’s more of a, “You know, I took it and I answered the questions and it might be OK.” And that is a lot better than some other feelings to have around testing.

Midterms can be deceiving to us, too, though. We’re just about half way through the semester and are going to be gone for a week – it’s a little taste of summer. But don’t let yourself get fooled, there’s still two months left (but, depending on how you look at it, that’s not too long). In any case, though, we are all another week closer to summer (or graduation, for those seniors out there).

Fortunately, it’s Friday, which means that most of us have now completed all of our midterms (unless some of us are stuck with professors that decided to have a midterm assignment be due over break – does that still happen?). Well, for those of us that are done, congratulations! You made it! Now go off and enjoy your break of doing nothing, watching basketball and writing that essay you should have started a while back.

So whether you’re doing some of this over break:

Or this:

And maybe even this:

Just remember to have some fun and enjoy break!
