7 Things to Eat this 4th of July

4th of July is tomorrow and since July is the 7th month of the year, I thought it would be fun to list the 7 most patriotic things to eat on the 4th of July.

It’s important to remember that the 4th of July is a national holiday celebrating the adoption of the Declaration of Independence. Whether you’re barbecuing in the back yard, picnicking at the beach or spending the day at the lake, the 4th of July is about celebrating our freedom with good friends and tasty food!

1. Red white and blue cupcake

This is easily one of the most popular 4th of July desserts! You can even frost all of your cupcakes to make an American flag.

2. Layered parfait

So easy! Just three ingredients: blueberries, strawberries, and whipped cream or yogurt!

3. Flag cake

You can also use strawberries instead of raspberries. This is one of my favorites!

4. Hot dogs

Get a little creative with your mustard or ketchup to show your patriotic spirit!

5. Corn on the Cobb

Yes, they can get messy, but there are so many ways to eat corn on the cobb and they’re so inexpensive!

6. Apple Pie

Apple pie is the most traditional American dessert out there. You can’t go wrong!

7. Berry lemonade

Use some local huckleberries to make your own North West lemonade!

Happy 4th of July! Be safe and and have fun!
